Too Many Things To Say

Realisation: cigarettes DO NOT make you poop. Oh god! I’ve been living with this fallacy for the past 10 years! 😦

Random shout-out: new dresses up on The Scarlette.

Somewhat random: NONG prettified by blogshop Lollyrouge here. So pretty! ❤ Watching them in action really reminded me of those gentle days EONS ago, when we would hang out in Bali Lane WAY before it become cool, taking pictures for our first The Scarlette collection. Sweet memories, oh just check out those cap locked SUPERLATIVES that remind us so much of how time has flown.

On small businesses (pre-amble): I love being at NONG. It’s one of those intimate spaces that foster intellectual exchange (if you want), and good ol’ down to earth constructive chatter. It’s like one of those roundtable sessions I read about in Flapper novels – the type typically chaired by a ridiculously good-looking woman and her gay friend, and emulated by no other.

On small business (actual): Being at NONG all the time means we get to meet a lot of small business owners – restaurants, coffee bars, social enterprises, retailers, everything. We love being able to work together, it’s a new breed of business owners, and a new way of thinking. We’re in it together, we have larger players to fight (together). Collaboration, the word, has never resounded stronger.

Green Drinks: participated in a session last night albeit from the fringes. Fascinating for environment lovers, especially if you have a brain, an opinion, a passion, a cause, and a mouth. Here.

Happy, Merry Anniversary Every Day

Oh, my, god. I have been so busy that I haven’t even had time to visit this little place on earth.

I was clearly deluded when I imagined my so-called unemployed life as consisting of long luxurious baths, daily yoga sessions, and an hour or two each day to pen down my thoughts and upload pictures, if any.

But when you get a sense that things are picking up, gaining traction, it’s all worth it. There’s nothing worse than just plowing along, waiting for change to happen, I don’t know – some kinda of metamorphosis (?)

Business traction aside, my body – I think – is even starting to show signs of renewal, with some muscle mass miraculously finding its way into my abs, biceps and back, courtesy of yoga and pilates, and good, clean natural oils on my skin again. It’s pretty cool, it’s kind of what I imagine Richard went through in The Beach, when he first peered at himself in the mirror after spending enough time at the beach community. Tanned, healthy, alive.

That was my favourite scene incidentally. It’s like going to a fat camp, but a beautiful and exciting one.

Anyways, I promise to blog soon, especially about my latest find – a hippie gem of a yoga studio in the East 🙂

Tata, for now as I have an early yoga session tomorrow. I leave you with a picture of yours truly and his truest.

Happy anniversary baby. I’m never good with dates and occasions (although that needs to change, especially when we have kids), but I hope you enjoy the every day with me! ❤

Guavas and Serene’s sister

Waiting for Lixia to buy back muchos muchos guavas for me for lunch. Me have decided to turn fruitarian everyday Thursday and Friday. Barring social events of course, like Friday Dinner (an occasion in itself, meant to be an exercise in indulgence).

Serene’s sister is going to Sweden for exchange!! I am so excited for her, even though I don’t know her – but seriously, exchange is the best time of your life!! I am far too old to have friends jet off for exchange, so I shall live vicariously through my friends’ younger siblings for now..

For now.

Maybe I will enrol myself into MBA school so I can go for exchange again haha!!

P.S. My muchos muchos guavas turned out to be.. half a guava -_-“”

News to wake up to

The hot gossip in HK this week is about the continuing British murder trial involving the HSBC Asset Management CIO’s alleged strangling of his wife whom he had discovered, after bugging her phone calls, was having an affair with their son’s tennis coach.

Move over Du Jun, your incarceration is no longer of interest.

By the way, nonfat vanilla latte with sugarless vanilla syrup is like beyond boring… I never did like vanilla anyways and the absence of my friend the Fat is perturbing.

To fabulous tan or not

I gobbled down like five flaky white biscuit thingamajigs with sweet sticky filling inside (anyone knows what they’re called?) at work yesterday and went home feeling extremely pissed off with myself. I whined to Cheryl, I whined to Kenneth, I even whined to Kate who didn’t really know what I was trying to say. Woof.

By the way, I have newly appointed Kenneth my bridesman for when I get married. I’m going to have 6 bridesmaids (Deb, Jiaying, Cheryl, Lynn – whether she likes it not, Qinmei and my sister) and 1 bridesman (Kenneth). What a bizarre assortment of humans! Must plan ahead, otherwise I will end up in a Debeqsue situation (= trying to narrow 100 hopeful bridesmaids into 12 available slots). When I throw my bridal bouquet, I will also throw a pot of cactus so that my sole bridesman can have a 100% chance of being next to wed.

I digress.

I read this morning that being tanned makes you look slimmer. Since I have five flaky white biscuit thingamajigs with sweet sticky filling inside floating around in my tums as I type this, I have decided to go for the bluff instead of the genuine stuff. Fabulous tan anybody?

That’s me three years, youthful and bright like a baby sparrow and black like my bamboo charcoal shampoo. Speaking of shampoo, Dex managed to procure five bottles of it for me.

I digress again.

The point of this post: is Amandina in Black or Amandina in White nicer?
