totally geekin’

After being acquainted with Livejournal for The Scarlette, I’m convinced that WordPress is infinitely superior. And after taking a look at this old acquaintance of mine, who successfully moved her online retailing business to a personal domain with posh shopping carts and all that, I’m convinced that I can do the same too. Maybe I could steal this acquaintance’s web-designing-boyfriend.

So actually I was surfing for a business theory that would justify pumping more $$$ into a new collection even though we’re still in the red. All I got was a bunch of statistics that said 50% of all startups fail. Cool.

But I did come across a friendly site College Startup which teaches how to get rich from your room. It’s mostly about search engine optimization though, and how to generate cash from content.

So then I moved onto tutorials for using WordPress platforms for e-commerce, and I came across this page on Interesting Money which reviews 4 different e-commerce shopping cart plugins for WordPress. This just saves all the legwork for me, assuming I plan to upgrade The Scarlette, assuming I have time. Hah.

Anyways, some links for awesome WordPress themes:

I have always found geeking out to be an effective balm for frazzled nerves.
